How do I set up a payment method?

It is easy and will only take a few minutes to complete, follow the steps outlined below.

Steps for setting up a bank account for the first time:


If you do not have a bank account linked follow the steps below:

  1. Log-in to your borrower portal at my.ecofinancing.com. 
  2. Navigate to the account you want to make a payment for if you have more than one.
  3. Click "Loan Options". 
  4. Select "Manage Payment Methods". 
  5. You can choose "Bank Account (ACH)" after clicking on the "add payment Method".
  6. If the bank account details are entered manually, the system will trigger a micro-deposit process.   This is used to validate that the bank account belongs to you.
  7. The system will make two micro deposits to the bank account.  This might take 1-2 business days for the amounts to appear in your bank account.
  8. When you see the amounts in your bank account, you need to log into your borrower portal and enter the amounts to verify the account details. 
  9. If you do not complete the process within 3 days, you will receive a reminder email.  You will have 3 attempts to enter the correct amount. 

 

Steps for setting up a debit card payment method for the first time:


If you do not have a debit card linked follow the steps below:

  1. Log-in to your borrower portal at my.ecofinancing.com. 
  2. Navigate to the account you want to make a payment for if you have more than one. 
  3. Click "Loan Options". 
  4. Select "Manage Payment Methods". 
  5. You can choose "Debit Card" after clicking on the "add payment Method". 
  6. Enter the card details including the first name and last name on the card, card number, expiration, cvc and billing zip code associated with the card. 
  7. When done click "Add". 
  8. Once the card is added it will be verified which can take a few minutes. 
  9. Once the card is verified successfully you can make a payment. 

 If you run into any issues verifying your debit card, ensure it's active and the card information was entered correctly.  If unsuccessful, contact customer support. 

 

Steps for updating your payment method:

  1. Log-in to your borrower portal at my.ecofinancing.com. 
  2. Navigate to your loan account you want to make a payment for.  
  3. Click "Loan Options". 
  4. Select "Manage Payment Methods". 
  5. Click on "Edit" next to the payment method. Some fields cannot be modified.
  6. You can also opt to remove or add payment methods from this screen.
