What does it mean that my loan is charged off?

Enervee will try to work with you to help stay current on your loan payments.  However, if you become more than 90 days delinquent on your loan payments, your loan will be charged off.  You still owe the remaining balance on the loan, but we will no longer send communications to you reminding you of missed or late payments.  It is important to note, your defaulted loan status may be reported to the credit bureaus, which may negatively impact your credit score, and we reserve the right to send your loan to a collection agency.

You can still make payments to reduce your charged off balance, but the account will remain in a charged off status until the account is paid off in full. Once your loan has been charged off for 6 months, you will no longer have direct access to the borrower portal.  If you wish to make a payment for a charged off loan please see this FAQ article
